new-oilsHappy Friday Everyone!!! I just wanted to say hi, it has been a while….apparently, it is no joke trying to raise 3 kiddos and be pregnant all at the same time! HA! I have been quiet lately but plan on picking right back up on my posts, so I hope you all follow along for the journey!!

I wanted to jump on and tell all of you out there about how awesome these essential oils are…..seriously they are life changing. From immune boosting to eczema healing to sleep enhancing to tantrum stopping to owie healing. I am beyond in love with these awesome oils. I will be doing weekly posts, starting next week, to update you all on what oils I am loving and how I am using them. I know when I first started using them 18 months ago I was overwhelmed…I nearly gave up before I even started. But I am SO GLAD I didn’t because they have changed our lives. Please let me know if you have any requests on topics for posts and I will do my best to get you the information you most desire.

I hope you all have an awesome day! Happy FriYAY!!!

11 Weeks Postpartum

I am so excited to be sharing a Transformation Tuesday! I was so nervous coming up on warm weather season that I would have to invest in new shorts that were a bigger size. I have been working really hard and have been paying attention to my diet….and today I was able to fit into my normal shorts at 11 weeks postpartum ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

I have relied on Beachbody programs like the 21 Day Fix and P90X3 to get me to where I am. On top of the exercises I drink my Shakeology every morning. It is a game changer! Shakeology gives me the extra energy I need while helping to eliminate cravings at the same time.

If you are struggling to lose weight, have hit a plateau, or just need help let me know! I would love to help you out!

Asparagus – SO Easy & Deliciousย

It doesn’t have to be hard or time consuming to make healthy foods. Simple is often best!

I know how hard it is to get home at the end of a long day and still face making dinner. Or on the flip side to be at home all day with kiddos, running around to after school activities, storytime, play dates, etc and realize at 4:30/5 that you haven’t even begun to think about dinner! ๐Ÿ˜ฃ

So here is a REALLY easy and fast way to incorporate veggies into dinner!

Wash asparagus.

Break ends off of asparagus.

Put asparagus on a large piece of foil.

Drizzle with olive oil, minced/crushed garlic (to save time) and cracked black pepper. Use hands to toss the garlic and coat evenly.

Close foil and bake at 400* for 15 minutes – or just throw foil on the grill!

Just like that you have an awesome veggie side to go with dinner!

P90x3 – Day 5 – Isometrics

I officially am obsessed with this program. I did P90x back in the day and loved it – I just had a hard time committing all the time it took to complete the exercises. With P90x3 the workouts are only 30 minutes! I mean how can you beat that?

Today on the program was Isometrics ….. Holding yourself in a position for 45 seconds….the hardest part of yoga is the hold. Let me tell you, that 45 seconds took what seemed like FOREVER to go by. I was sweating up a storm by the end of the 30 minutes. Insane huh!? Just standing holding a position makes you build up a sweat!?

I truly believe in this program!! If you have any questions or was to inquire about starting this program let me know! You truly cannot beat a 30 minute at home workout! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

Upper Body Pyramid

Keep your momentum up as you run through this pyramid. You want to remember to concentrate on your posture. Bad posture and lazy motions can lead to injury. ย The more often we injure ourselves we set ourselves back. Remember to enjoy your work-out. Make it as enjoyable as possible.

Repeat Pyramid 3 โ€“ 5 times depending on your fitness level. Rest for a minute or two between sets. The less rest time you give yourself between sets helps to keep your heart rate up and give you the cardiovascular work-out. Drink water.

Optional: I like to warm my body up before workouts, whether it be with a quick 15 minute walk, some jumping jacks, running in place, whatever you desire. Doing this helps to get me in the right mindset to complete my pyramid with enthusiasm.

ENJOY the burn!!!!

Quick Positive Start

Get up and get a positive kick-start to your day. Doing something is always better than nothing. Get rid of the mentality that you need an hour + to work out. That is false. Imagine if you did 20 minutes a day every day that you skipped a workout because you “don’t have the time” to get in a workout. You would likely be a lot more pleased with your figure and feel a whole lot better. You can either run through this until you are done, or you can set a timer and only do what you can in a set amount of time. Remember though if you decide on 20 minutes total and it takes you 15 minutes to walk a mile then you will only have 5 minutes to do the other exercises. So get busy the second you walk through your door.

Kick Start Your Day:

1 – 2 miles….Either walk, skip, jog, sprint, run. Do whatever you feel is fun and appropriate for you. Just get out and get going.

When you get back home immediately go into the following exercises:

50 crunches

50 bicycles

15 push ups

40 lunges (20 each leg)

20 Tricep dips

50 Jumping Jacks

Repeat 3 times.

You are done. Hopefully you will feel that burn tomorrow and it will help you feel amazing today. You just brightened your morning with a positive boost to your day! Happy Monday everyone!

Timed Circuit Workout

Keep your momentum up as you run through this circuit. You want to remember to concentrate on your posture. Bad posture and lazy motions can lead to injury. ย The more often we injure ourselves we set ourselves back. Enjoy this workout. The key is to get all of the exercises done in the 3 minutes given.

Repeat Pyramid 3 – 10 times depending on your fitness level. Rest for as short as possible between sets. I typically take a few deep breaths and reset my timer. The less rest time you give yourself between sets helps to keep your heart rate up and give you the cardiovascular work-out. Drink water.

20 Bodyweight Squats

20 Sit-ups – Traditional Sit-ups

20 Push-ups

40 Lunges (20 each leg)

40 Scissor Kicks.

30 Tricep Dips

This is more of a full body workout. Believe me that if you do this correctly you will get a butt-kicking workout. I listen to upbeat music to keep my speed up. Whatever it takes, but remember you are going against your ticking timer.
